Before we can connect to your vehicle, the ignition must be turned ON — but ideally the engine should be OFF.
This is important because the Engine Control Unit won’t be active unless the ignition is on.
🔑 If your car uses a traditional key, just turn it to position 2 — you’ll usually see the dashboard lights come on.
🚘 If your car has a push start button, it can vary. The most common methods are:
- Push the Start button twice or three times without pressing the brake
- Or, press and hold the button until the dashboard wakes up
You’ll know it’s worked when the engine management light on your dashboard stays on.
Accidentally started the engine? No worries — just turn it off and try again.
If your car doesn’t connect on the first try, you’ll be informed on the app – here’s a tip:
- Start the engine, turn it off, then turn the ignition back on and hit TRY AGAIN
This can help fully wake up the engine management system.
And if you’re still not connecting, it’s always worth trying again with the engine running.
